EMDHR, in collaboration with students of the Center for Human Rights of the University of Pretoria, developed a flier, titled "Africa is Silent" and distributed 75 copies of it during the 43rd Session of the African Commission on Human and Peoples' Rights (ACHPR) that was held during 7-15 May 2008 in Swaziland. The flier, enclosed with the report presented by the Center, was also formally being submitted to the Commission. Consequently, Eritrea's case got registered, once again. The flier can be found on here.
Members of EMDHR and students of the Center for Human Rights while sketching out a plan at the Univesrity of Pretoria EMDHR makes use of this opportunity and expresses its gratefulness to Yonas Debessay and Simon Mebrahtu - former students of the Center for Human Rights - for their kind support and advices. It also forwards its profound gratitude to the students and staff members of the Center. |
