8 illegal migrants die near Sicily

ROME — African migrants whose small boat was intercepted Saturday off the coast of Sicily said eight people died during their grueling,10-day trip, the third deadly sea journey by migrants trying to reach Italy in less than a month.The 19 people who survived the trip were taken to a hospital in the port town of Porto Palo on Sicily's southwestern coast, said Cmdr. Nazzareno Lagana. The migrants _ all from Eritrea _ told authorities they had left from Libya 10 to 12 days earlier.

Eritrean youth fleeing the country by any means possible. for some of us it is a story on the media but for some it is a matter of life and death.

Mother and Son Re-union

Eritrean Mother trying to escape from Eritrea via Libya had to let her child go and stay behind because they where told that the boat was full. the people in the boat took the child with them and gave it to the police once they got to Italy. the mother after two months she escaped to Italy and got re-united with her child.
