Over the past few days, the PFDJ has been making a big deal about the graduation of the 20th round ‘national service’ in its website (www.shaebia.org) and the local newspapers (accessible at www.shabait.com). There, we observe snapshots of the president awarding merit graduating soldiers. The event made me rewind my memories to the dozen or more graduation ceremonies of the University of Asmara and the annual excuses that the [state] president delivered through his former education minister, Mr. Osman Saleh, for not being able to make it and for his failure to award the outstanding graduates for their greater achievements.

Many people tend to perceive the word, non-violence, as the complete lack of militant or civic force. Although, in principle, this form of struggle opposes the use of violence to bring political or social justice, its practical meaning has been continuously redefined by both the oppressed and the oppressor. As a result, some people believe that attacking [enemy] assets is still a form of non-violent struggle while others decline the use of force at any scale. Below are brief descriptions of the techniques used, the applications and the advantages of non-violent struggle.

It has been reasonably a while since I became suspicious that Sophia is a cadre and a paid-writer of the ruling party in Eritrea (the PFDJ). However, I decided to fight back my instincts and give her the benefit of the doubt to exercise her freedom to write. As the time elapsed and as she continued to write more and more articles, I begun to believe my instincts and inclined to sense the danger of her insincere and far from reality articles. Although the PFDJ has trained a bunch of her likeness, Sophia’s naked lies and calculated manipulations of the truth are indeed peculiar yet typical of her style. Over the years, she has become a championed con artist and an efficient lie-machine fabricating unsubstantiated fairy tales.

ንወዲ ክልተ ዓመት ህጻን ንኣዴኻ ዶ ትፈትው ንኣቦኻ ኢልካ እንተሓቲትካዮ ‘ንኣቦይ‘ እዩ ዝብል። ደጊምካ ንኣቦኻ ዶ ትፈትው ንኣዴኻ ኢልካ እንተሓቲትካዮ ድማ ‘ንኣደይ‘ ይብል። እዚምንታይሲ ህጻናት ነታ ናይ መጠረሽታ ቃል ጥራይ ስለዝዝክሩ እዩ። ዓበይቲ’ከ ኣብ ልዕሊ ሂወቶም ዋላ ሓንቲ ጽልዋ ዘይብሉ ውሳኔ ኣብ ዘመሓላልፍሉ እዋን ልክዕ ከም ናይ ህጻን ቖልዓ ጠባይ የርእዩ ዶ ኮን ይኾኑ? እምንቶ ናይቶም ኣብ ኤርትራ በትረ-ስልጣን ጨቢጦም ዝርከቡ ሰባት ሓደ እኹል ሰብ ካብ ናይ ህጻን ጠባይ ዘይፍለ ባህሪ ከምዘንጸባርቅ እዮ። እዞም ሰበ-ስልጣን ዝዘንግዕዎ ነገር እንተሎ ግን፡ ዋላ’ኳ ኤርትራዊያን ነቲ ነዊሕ ክኸይድ ዝጸንሓ ስቃይ ዜጋታት ዝረስዕዎ እንተመሰሉ፡ ህዝቢ ኤርትራ ምምሳል ኣቋሪጹ ቁጥዕኡ ብዓውታ ክገልጽ እንተጀሚሩ ግን መዓት ክወርዶም ምዃኑ እዩ።

ብኣማኒኤል ኢሳቅ

ኣብ ሑቕፊ ግዜ ዝነብር ፍጡር ናይዛ ምድሪ፡ ኣብ ናይ ለውጢ ጉዕዞ ሰለይ እንዳበለ ይነብር፡፡ ኣብዛ ዓለም ለውጥን ሃንደበትነትን ክሳዕ ዘለዉ ልብኻ ኣውዲቕካ ትኣምኖ ነገር ኽህሉ ኣሸጋሪ እዩ። ነገራት ኸምዝነበርዎ ኣይነብሩን፡ ነገራት ሕብሮም ፡መልክዖም፡ ባህርያቶም እንዳቐየሩ ይነብሩ። ጸሓይ ትበርቕ ጸሓይ ትዓርብ፡ ንሕና ድማ ኣብ ውሽጢ ሕጊ ናይ ለውጢ ኾይንና ምስ ግዜ ባህርይና እንዳቐያየርና ንነብር። እንሓንሳብ መላእኽቲ ንመስል፡ እንሓንሳእ ድማ ናብ ኣራዊት ንቕየር።እንሓንሳእ ነፍቅር እንሓንሳብ ንጸልእ፡እንሓንሳእ ንልውህ እንሓንሳእ ንጭክን፡ እንሓንሳእ ንጥዒ እንሓንሳእ ንጽለል፡ እንሓንሳእ ንብርትዕ እንሓንሳእ ንደክም፡ተስፋ ጣዕሳ ይኸውን ናፍቖት ጽልኢ ይቕየር፡ ወዲ ሰብ ኽም ቢሑቕ ምሉቕ ምሉቕ ዝብል ፍጡር’ዩ የብለካ።

It is very sarcastic to observe that hundreds of thousands of us are still on the dance floor. Certainly, many of us are still paying a fee that is going to hunt us back. We are simply dancing to our downfall, ululating and cheering to our shame and disregard. Do we actually realize how much money we are raising to keep the prisoners of conscience where they are? Do we understand by how long we are extending the life of a dictatorial regime committing grave crimes against humanity? Do we have any insight as to how many more of our fellow citizens will be thrown into jail using the ‘festival’ money that we, consciously or unconsciously, are raising?

ኣብ ፖለቲካ ክኣቱ ኣይደልን’የ፣

“ብርቱዕ ሕማም’ሲ ካብ ሞት ኣይሓልፍን!” 

ኣብዚ ቀረባ እዋን፡ ብምኽንያት እቲ ኣብ ኤርትራ ዘሎ ኣሰቃቒ ኩነታት ሰብኣዊ መሰላት፡ ካብ ኤርትራ ወጻኢ ኣብ ዝተፈላለያ ሃገራት ናይ ኤርትራውያን ሲቪካውያን ማሕበራትን ፖለቲካውያን ውድባትን ተመስሪተን ኣለዋ። ኣስማተን ከም ዝሕብሮ፡ ዕላማ ናይ ዝበዝሓ ካብዘን ሲቪካውያን ማሕበራት ምስ ምትካልን ምድንፋዕ ደሞክራሲ፡ ሰብኣዊ መሰላትን ግዝኣተ ሕግን ዝዛመድ’ዩ። ምስ’ዘን ማሕበራት ዘለኒ ሌላ ድሩት ስለ ዝኾነ፣ እንታይ ይገብራ እንታይ’ከ ኣፍሪየን ኢለ ክትንትን ኣይተበገስኩን። ህላወ ከምዚኤን ዝበላ ማሕበራት፡ ሰብኣዊ መሰላት ዘኽበር ብግዝኣተ ሕጊ ዝቕየድ ስርዓተ-ደሞክራሲ ንምትካልን ንምድንፋዕን ኣዝዩ ኣገዳሲ ምዃኑ ግን ዘማጉት ጉዳይ ኣይኮነን።

ፖለቲካዊ መአዲ ዘተ ብሕጽር ዝበለ አገላልጻ፡ ክልተ ወይ ካብ ክልተ ዝበዝሑ ተራጸምቲ ወይ ተጻረርቲ አካላት አብ ልዕሊ ዘገድሶም ጉዳያት ኩሎም ብዝተሰማምዕሉ አገባብ ወይ ቅርጺ ንዝተወሰነ ግዜ ፖለቲካዊ ስምምዕ ወይ መፍትሒ ክገብሩ ከለዉ እዩ።
